A Few Pictures I Took this Week - Birds of all Kinds

Sat Feb 18, 2012 5:59 PM EST
weekend-exposure, squirrel, cardinal, sparrow, newsvine-photography-group
By Soovivers

Hmm A Mystery Bird

Doves - Birds of a Feather...

Sparrow - I think.

A lonesome Dove

Cardinal - hiding again.

Stocky the Squirrel Eating Again

Beautiful Spring Bouquet from My College Kid Gardener - So nice of him.

Advertise | AdChoices

It seems like the birds are beginning to gather in my yard and are making their nests. They also appear to be chasing each other and eating a whole lot. That can mean only one thing...Spring is near. Thanks for looking at my pictures.

Soovie. Wonderful pictures. I believe your first little guy is a Red House Finch. You have some pretty visitors and 58 is gonna love that Cardinal! Thanks for showing your peaceful Doves. They look like mine with the blue edging that I never notice till I photograph them.

Aren't Stocky's little feet precious?! I just want to shake his little hand.

Thanks Anna. I think you are right about the first one being a finch but I wasn't sure. The cardinal was posing I think because I was able to get several photos. And the doves are soo shy but they also wanted to eat so that meant I was able to get clear shots of them together, Yay.

Stocky and his family eat here pretty much all day - lols. My gardener young man was home from college this weekend to visit his family and stopped by with this beautiful bouquet. His mama taught him right!

Hi Jackie - I would love to give little Rosie a treat but she lives way up north and I live in Kansas. That is probably why you and I seem to have the same birds - we are in similar environments - just a few hundred miles difference.

It is early this year for them to be building nests and chasing each other. I do think the birds know things we do not. Thanks Jackie.
